Beauty does not just come from within, it starts from the inside out. This is so important to nourish our body with a nutrient rich diet and plenty of water to have glowing skin, healthy hair, and strong nails. During the colder months and harsh weather elements I certainly have noticed my hair, skin and nails have taken the brut! Well, they did appear to be a bit dull, dry and lack luster to say the least.
So I’ve learned that when we hit the age of 25 our collagen levels begin to decrease and the first signs of aging begin to set in, but I was having none of that. I know first hand how powerful it is to have a beauty regimen. There is only so much you can do on the outside to maintain a youthful appearance, exfoliating, toners, serums, lotions, creams… True beauty starts from within, it begins with a nutrient dense diet, proper hydration, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and supplements that your body can actually absorb.
Taking the right multi-vitamin and supplements can have a significant impact on overall health and appearance. When choosing a multi-vitamin and supplements – I will opt for quality ingredients, that I know can be absorbed. Given that it provides natural food based ingredients derived from organic fruits and vegetables that contain vital nutrients my body can absorb.
I steer clear of synthetic vitamins and minerals. After all we are not synthetic and we won’t be able to properly absorb the synthetic ingredients it provides anyways. A good indication you have a quality supplement is checking the ingredient list – If it has a food sourced ingredient list with real organic fruits and vegetables listed you will know that you can absorb the ingredients. If it does not have a food source listed in the ingredients, that’s a red flag they are synthetic and you won’t be able to absorb all of the ingredients listed. Thankfully, you don’t have to waste your time or money for that matter once you are able to identify the difference between synthetic supplements and food sourced supplements.
This past winter I have equipped myself with my favorite brand MyKind Organics Womens Multi-Vitamin by Garden Of Life along with their vitamin D3.
In the winter time due to lack of sunlight, I will take Garden Of Life’s Vitamin D3 Supplement; an essential nutrient that behaves much less like a vitamin and much more as a hormone. That means vitamin D acts as a messenger rather than a participant in our metabolism, potentially affecting everything from our weight to how our organs function.
My next favorite that I recommend is created by the brand NeoCell they have a Beauty Infusion Cranberry Cocktail packed with 6,000 mg of NeoCell Collagen + Hyaluronic Acid + Biotin & ALA. Not only does it taste good, I can mix it in with my smoothies. This combination of nutrients works together to strengthen hair, skin and nails while promoting firm and youthful smooth skin. This has antioxidant power to protect against environmental damage and hydrate the skin from the inside out. Complete with Hyaluronic Acid for skin hydration.
I will also pair with Neo Cells Keratin Hair Volumizer, this is designed with an advanced manufacturing process called hydrolysis; that converts large collagen molecules into small peptides, that may become bioavailable in the body. Also, it contains the amino acids your body needs to support the healthy synthesis of the proteins in our hair and nails.
I have been taking Neo Cells Hyaluronic Acid to dose up on my skin hydration in the winter and early spring. This also helps with joints and eye hydration. Hyaluronic acid is an very important disaccharide found in every tissue of the body as an essential lubricant of healthy joints, skin, and eyes, and promotes cell turnover. Hyaluronic Acid is one of nature’s most water loving molecules responsible for the control of tissue hydration and water transport between cells. I notice my skin is soft and subtle when taking this supplement, no dry skin here!
I am really loving these supplements and have noticed a significant difference in my hair growth, skin hydration and nails are stronger than before. If you try any of these, I would love to know your thoughts and what worked best for you!
